Moundville Park is an archeological site of the Mississippian culture, located near the Black Warrior River, having some amazing, extensive archeological things to do in Tuscaloosa.

Moundville Archaeological Park

Moundville Archeological Park was added to the National Register of Historic Places on 15 October 1966. 

It is the National Historical Landmark of Alabama. Nathaniel Thomas Lupton also designed Moundville’s map. The mounds present here were built in 1200 AD by the people living there. It is still densely populated by some grandchildren of Mississippi.
